Cycle Sense are inspired by the principles of the Circular Economy.
After completing the ISBC social enterprise course in at the Ludgate in Skibbereen in 2019 we joined The Circular Economy Academy at the Rediscovery Centre, Ballymun, Dublin. With their help and guidance our first steps are to open a workshop developed on the principles of the circular economy.
Unwanted bikes will be re built through educational training programmes. This enables unwanted resources to stay in circulation for longer through reuse and repair and reduces the creation of waste. The workshop will also complement our cycle training by helping individuals and families maintain their bikes.
What is the Circular Economy?
The circular economy is an economic system aimed at minimising waste at all stages of the economic cycle and making the most of our resources by keeping them in circulation for longer. This approach maximises the value of resources and is in contrast to the traditional linear economy, which has a ‘take, make, dispose’ model of production.
The aim of the Circular Economy Academy is to facilitate Ireland’s transition to the Circular Economy through Collaboration, Inspiration & Education.
